How does it attach?

does it leave anything behing when removed?

Thank you for your question. With most furniture, the 3M double-sided tape should not leave any residue after the cushions are removed. If, for some reason, there is glue residue remaining, we recommend rubbing a few drops of olive or vegetable oil and wiping with a cloth. This may have to be repeated once or twice. The oil shouldn't harm your furniture. We don't recommend using other solvents.

Hello, will this stick to a stone (not brick) fireplace hearth??

It sure will! Ours in stone and we were concerned about it sticking as well. We just cleaned the edge well before application and it adhered just fine. Ours has been up for two months or so with no problem. Hope this helps!

Will this work on a round marble table?

The edging is "L" shaped. The tape would hold it on the marble but to get it to fit on a round surface one would have to cut out relief pieces (notches) on the top edge to acquire a flat round surface. If the cushion is not flat on the surface the tape will not hold it in place.

I need to cover the sharp edges of some metal filing cabinets. Has anyone had any success using this product to do the same?

What\'s the maximum lip height this can cover? Want to cover edge from above and below.
It covers about 2 1/2inch per corner on each side and didn't get a full measure on length because I cut it up. But it is well over 15ft. It is very firm and durable.
